County Line Road was shut down for several hours, Thursday, while Florida Highway Patrol investigated a four-vehicle car accident.
The four vehicles were traveling east on County Line Road when a Mitsubishi in the front, stopped to make a left turnt. Two cars behind the Mitsubishi also stopped, but a Ford F350 pickup crashed into the last vehicle setting off a chain reaction of rear-end accidents, according to FHP.
The driver of the vehicle hit by the pickup, a 63-year-old woman, was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital where she was listed in critical condition. The driver of the car in front of her was transported to Spring Hill Region for minor injuries. The driver of the Mitsubishi and Ford pickup were both uninjured.
According to FHP, charges are pending against the driver, 28, of the pickup truck.
