Florida’s First District Court of Appeals has overturned a lower court ruling and reinstated the ban on Allstate writing new insurance policies in Florida. The original controversy surrounded Allstate’s refusal to comply with subpoenas regarding its property insurance policies in the State. While the ruling does not effect existing Allstate customers, it will have an impact on the company’s finances. That’s what happens when you think you’re above the law.
