Man charged in Florida prostitution ring sues clients
A Dutch man who went to jail and was deported for running a big escort service in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is suing six former customers.
Arthur Vanmoor said the customers broke the law after purchasing time with the escorts. He said that’s what led to his arrest, incarceration and deportation.
Officials said Vanmoor had about 50 women working for him at one time and reported more than $6 million in income in four years. Court records show Florence Dating Service accounted for up to 90 percent of escort service listings in Broward County’s 2002 Yellow Pages.
