Children’s flashlights sold at Target are the subject of a nationwide recall because of a lead paint hazard.
The Little Tikes Co. Recalls Animal-Shaped Flashlights Containing Lead Paint Sold at Target
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the Little Tikes Co., of Hudson, Ohio, has announced a voluntary recall of Glowin’ Dino and Glowin’ Doggy Animal Flashlights. Consumers should stop using these recalled products immediately.
The recall involves about 20,800 flashlights.
The light green paint on the dinosaur-shaped flashlight and the brown paint on the dog-shaped flashlight could contain excess levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
