If you were sexually molested as a minor in the Boy Scouts, you may qualify for compensation under the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filed by Boy Scouts of America. But you have less than two weeks to file your claim. To discuss your legal options contact Saunders & Walker at 1-800-748-7115 to discuss your claim.

The deadline for abuse survivors to come forward and make claims against the Boy Scouts of America is fast approaching. The case, according to experts, is expected to become the largest-ever sexual abuse case against a single national organization. Tens of thousands of accusers are expected to be part of the bankruptcy settlement with the Boy Scouts.

Evidence has been uncovered revealing that since its inception the Boy Scouts attracted pedophiles into its ranks of adult leaders. The organization even went so far as to keep secret files of men known or suspected of committing sexual abuse. Yet it wasn’t until the Boy Scouts were faced with financial ruin that they publicly acknowledged the sexual abuse against young scouts within their ranks.

For 103 years the Boy Scouts of America have submitted an annual report to Congress summarizing its recent activities. Never in any of those reports was it disclosed that the Boy Scouts were magnets for thousands upon thousands of pedophiles.

Regardless of the type of abuse or when it occurred, if you were victimized and sexually abused as a Boy Scout you must come forward now for compensation. The reorganization plan under the chapter 11 bankruptcy is a global settlement of all claims against BSA and will prevent victims from continuing lawsuits already filed or from filing further suits against the national organization after that date.

If you were abused as a member of any organization affiliated with a member of the Boy Scouts of America or their related organizations such as Explorers, Sea Scouts and Venturing, you now have a chance to file a claim for the harm you suffered. But all sexual abuse claims filed in connection with the Boy Scouts of America’s bankruptcy proceedings must be filed by 5 p.m. EST on November 16, 2020.

At Saunders & Walker we are a nationally recognized leader in defending victims of sexual abuse. If a Scoutmaster or another member of the Boy Scouts of America and affiliated organizations has sexually abused you, or anybody you know, please contact Saunders & Walker at 1-800-748-7115 to discuss your legal options. All conversations will be kept strictly confidential.
