Bad things can happen in dentist’s chairs. Sometimes, when they are really bad, they end up in a dental malpractice lawsuit.

Dentist ordered to pay $130,000
BRIDGEPORT — A Superior Court jury Thursday ordered a Westport dentist to pay more that $130,000 to a West Haven woman who brought a malpractice claim against him.
The six-member jury deliberated about two hours before finding Dr. Adam Freeman, of Westport Dental Associates, negligent in his treatment of 42-year-old Sheryl Palmieri.
Palmieri was a patient of Freeman’s from November 1996 through June 2000. In 2000 he put a bridge on her lower jaw. However…(the Plaintiff’s lawyer) contended the bridge was improperly made and caused a tear in Palmieri’s left jaw joint.
…as a result of the tear Palmieri suffered pain and required about $32,000 in reconstructive surgery.
